Lead Pastor: Al Perry

Pastor Al is married to the love of his life Michelle. Together they have four children (quadruplets): Ellie, Savannah, Will and Madison (who went to be with the Lord in 1998). His greatest joy in life is teaching people about Jesus in an understandable and helpful way. Al loves to make connections with people and see them take their next step toward Jesus. When he is not hanging out with his family, you’ll find him rooting for the UNC Tar Heels during basketball season, cheering for the OSU Buckeyes during football season, and suffering through the NFL season as a Washington Redskins fan. A native North Carolinian, Al has been preaching since 1990 and received his ministry degrees from Mid-Atlantic Christian University and Johnson University.

Kelsie Ralston

Kelsie is an artist, dreamer, believer, and celebrator of life through Christ. She loves her husband Michael, fur baby Dexter, and 91 house plants dearly. Kelsie has a BFA in Fine Art from OSU and when she’s not drawing or taking pictures, you’ll find her attempting to play the piano, reading or watching a mystery, or enjoying a good cup of coffee downtown. Through inspiration, creativity, and vision she is thrilled to lead a Ministry that focuses on stepping into and experiencing the presence of God. You may also find her volunteering in our Youth Ministry, co-leading our Youth Adult Lifegroup, or singing on the worship team.

Youth Pastor:
Nathan Gordon

Nathan is passionate about helping people become aware of the life changing presence of God in their life and through that helping them step into their purpose. The avenue through which he’s been blessed to do that is Youth Ministry. Nathan graduated with two Bible certificates from Word of Life Bible Institute and is currently working on his Bachelors of Science in Biblical Studies & Theology at Liberty University. He loves playing music and spending time with his wife, Kearsten, & his family. His desire is to see a generation of completely surrendered students rise up and lead others into a deeper awareness of the reality of Jesus Christ.

Worship Director:
Jesse Brown

Jesse is married to his high school sweetheart Zoe, and has 2 beautiful children that he spends most of his time playing with. He was born in Los Angeles, CA and moved to Florida as a young child. After High School he attended a year long Bible school (Great Commission Bible Institute) where he read and studied the Bible beginning to end. Jesse grew up in a loving and God fearing home, with many adopted siblings. He and his wife have a heart for foster care and adoption. When Jesse was only a junior in high school he was given a heart for the church, and a call to be a worship pastor. Since then, he has been pursuing that call from the Lord, and has learned a lot about true worship. By the grace of God, Jesse’s heart for worship is pure and genuine. His goal as Worship Director is to lead others into a life of true and pure worship.

“Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in His holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, and has not sworn deceitfully.”
Psalms 24:3-4

Dexter McGee

Say hello to Dexter, Kelsie’s fur baby! He hangs out at The Compassion Center throughout the week greeting guests, shredding old newsletters, and boosting spirits! He enjoys fetching anything that rolls, running in circles as fast as he can, and trying new foods. Dexter has never met a stranger & would love for you to swing by and say hello, and maybe scratch his belly.
